Golf Tournament for the Sunshine Foundation! Friday, August 3rd
On Friday, August 3rd I was invited to attend a wonderful charity event at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury for the Sunshine Foundation. It was an all day event assisting the Founder of the Sunshine Foundation, Cindy Kennedy (on left). We began with registering those who were signed up to play golf, gave them their boxed lunches and then they were off for a fun day of golf. For the rest of the afternoon I was driven around in a golf cart taking pictures with many of the golfers and enjoying a warm afternoon with lots of ice cream and italian ice since it was in the upper 90's that day. Later that evening from 5:30pm-7pm there was a silent auction and then we were served dinner sponsored by Axel's restaurant at 7pm. There was a live band and a great time was had by all.
I was excited to take a picture with Sharky from Underwater Adventures from the Mall of America.
Here are the golfers getting ready to take off in their carts.
Here are some of the girls that were passing out cold water and pop to keep everyone cool.
These were three brothers who's father told me they really wanted a picture with me. They were very funny and nice.
These girls were so sweet, they were giving out italian ice and ice cream from Culvers so I called them the Culvers Girls. I made many rounds to get alot of ice cream to keep cool.
Here is my husband Sam in the yellow shirt with some of his golf friends having a great time.
Here are some of my friends at the dinner. (left to right) Dave and Penny Godpout, me, Shane Berguson and Ann Sangpan enjoying dinner.
